That&#8217;s why I didn&#8217;t clap for Captain Tom last night. This man&#8217;s extraordinary kindness has been <em>exploited<\/em> by people who know more about how to curry favour with the public than they do about running the country. Clapping costs nothing, but a real NHS\/GIG is costly, and I am ready, willing and able to pay my extra few pence in the pound income tax.
