He has brought down the powerful from their thrones, and lifted up the lowly; he has filled the hungry with good things, and sent the rich away empty.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is of course from the Bible, from the Isaiah reading and the Luke reading for <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/lectionary.library.vanderbilt.edu\/texts.php?id=50\" target=\"_blank\">the third Sunday in Advent<\/a> (next Sunday) this year.
