Short tour of the local industrial estates for my walk this morning, in the cloud and an easterly wind. I don’t think it can just be warehouses. At one place, a row of gas powered generators were running, making the sky shimmer (so obviously not being used in CHP mode then). Whatever was going on there must’ve been productive, I thought. Elsewhere, some NHS trailers (blood, screening etc.) were parked, maybe for ever? There is a patchwork of COVID restrictions going on at the moment, and the boundaries are sometimes a bit random. We are outside Greater Manchester, but our local hospital is in it.
